Project Pixel uses commercial digital work to support meaningful digital causes, community ideas and practical custom tools that solve real problems.
Project Pixel is an impact-led digital studio. We build websites, custom software and digital systems for small businesses, founders and organisations, and we are commercially serious about it. Clients get sharp work, clear scope and a fair price.
The difference is what that work is for. The same skills that build a service business a website can build a community group a booking system, a charity a dashboard or a founder a tool that did not exist before. Most of those projects never get built because nobody can pay agency rates for them.
So the commercial side funds the other side. That is the whole idea.
Websites, custom software, content, social, hosting and support. Priced fairly, scoped properly, delivered well.
Revenue and time from commercial projects create room for subsidised builds, prototypes and free tools.
We direct it at submitted projects that pass a fair review: real problem, real beneficiaries, realistic to build.
Impact support depends on fit, capacity, available funding and fair agreement. We would rather do a small number of projects properly than promise more than we can deliver.
Reduced-cost websites and systems for organisations doing genuinely useful work with limited budgets.
Small, practical custom tools built for a specific group of people with a specific problem.
Accessibility-first builds, plain-English guidance and help for people who have been left behind by bad software.
Booking systems, dashboards, portals and automations that free up time for the actual work.
Time spent testing whether an idea is worth building before anyone commits money to it.
We are building towards a clearer funding pot and longer-term project partnerships.
You do not need to be a registered charity, and you do not need a finished plan. You do need a real problem and real people it affects.
Tell us about it. Some projects may be funded, subsidised, co-developed, supported through profit-share, or shaped through a fair ownership or partnership agreement. Others get honest advice and a nudge in the right direction.
Submitting a project does not guarantee funding, partnership or support. Any profit-share, ownership, licensing or partnership arrangement would be discussed openly and confirmed through a separate written agreement before work begins.
We would rather publish honest numbers than impressive ones. These are the measures we are tracking as the impact side of the studio gets going.

We are not going to dress up commercial case studies as impact work. As funded and subsidised projects complete, they will be written up here in full: what the problem was, what we built, what actually changed and what we would do differently.
