How the price is agreed

Questions
Is custom software worth it for a small business?
Sometimes, not always. If an off-the-shelf product already does what you need, I'll say so. Custom software tends to make sense when the way you work is part of what makes you good, or when the workarounds are costing you more time than building something would.
Do you write everything from scratch?
No. I use well-established tools and building blocks, so your budget goes on the parts that are specific to your business.
Who owns the software?
Once it's paid for, the work I've made for you is yours. Any third-party services or licensed parts stay under their own terms, and I'll list those in the quote.
What will it cost to run?
I'll set out hosting and any subscription costs in the quote. Support and future changes are optional and agreed in writing if you want them.
How is my data kept safe?
Access is limited to the people who need it, and I plan how data is handled with UK GDPR in mind. The specific measures depend on the system, and we'll agree them as part of the scope.

Managed for you, not handed over and forgotten.
