Website redesign without losing what already works.

A redesign should improve enquiries, not reset them. We keep the pages and rankings that earn you money, fix the ones that leak, and rebuild on something your team can actually update. Fixed price, three to six weeks.

// Why redesigns go wrong

Most redesigns lose traffic in month one, and nobody warned the client

The classic failure is a beautiful new site that quietly drops half its search traffic. URLs change without redirects, page copy that was ranking gets replaced with brand language, and internal links that took years to build get flattened into a five-page brochure. Six months later enquiries are down and nobody can explain why. We start a redesign the boring way: work out which pages currently bring in traffic and enquiries, and protect them. Everything else is fair game. That means a redirect map before launch, existing ranking copy carried across and improved rather than binned, and a structure that gives the new site more surface area in search than the old one, not less.

// Three routes

Not every tired website needs a full rebuild

01

Refresh, not rebuild

When the structure is sound and the platform is fine, a visual and copy refresh gets you 80% of the benefit for a fraction of the cost. We say so when that is the honest answer.

02

Full rebuild

When the platform is dead, the site is unmanageable, or the business has outgrown it. New structure, new design, new build, with the search equity carried across deliberately.

03

Conversion repair

Sometimes the site looks fine and simply does not convert. Positioning, hierarchy, proof, and the path from landing to enquiry, reworked without touching the whole build.

// Keeping your rankings

Protecting rankings through a redesign is a process, not luck

Before anything is designed we pull the current page inventory, rankings and traffic. Every URL gets a decision: keep, improve, merge or redirect. On launch day the redirect map goes live with the site, search console gets the new sitemap, and we watch positions for the following month so anything that slips is caught in days rather than quarters.

Questions about redesigns

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?+
It can, and that is exactly what the redirect map and page inventory prevent. Done properly, a redesign usually improves rankings because the new site is faster, better structured and has stronger content on the pages that matter.
How do I know whether I need a refresh or a full rebuild?+
If the platform is workable, the structure makes sense, and the problem is that it looks dated, that is a refresh. If you cannot edit it, it is slow, it is on something unsupported, or the business has changed shape, that is a rebuild. We give you a straight answer at the audit stage.
Can you keep our existing content?+
Yes, and often we should. Pages already earning search traffic get carried across and sharpened rather than rewritten from scratch. Rewriting a page that ranks is one of the most common ways redesigns go wrong.
How long does a redesign take?+
Three to six weeks for most sites, depending on page count and how quickly content approvals come back. Larger sites with heavy content migration take longer and we will say so up front.
What does it cost?+
Redesigns are priced against the same fixed package structure as new builds, adjusted for migration work. You get the number before you commit, not after discovery.
Our site is on WordPress and it keeps breaking. Can you move it?+
Yes. Migrations from WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and older custom builds are routine. We rebuild on something you can edit without plugins, updates or a monthly panic.
Can we keep our current domain and email?+
Yes. Domain stays yours, email is untouched, and the switchover happens with the old site live until the new one is ready.
